The client had experienced considerable difficulty in obtaining a resource consent to establish a new poultry farm. Following these challenges, Lamond Poultry engaged Planz to assist them in first developing site selection criteria and then in obtaining the necessary consents. Planz managed the resource consent process and coordinated the necessary supporting expert reports on odour management to successfully achieve consent for a 25,000 bird free-range egg farm on a non-notified basis.
