Our work

Presbyterian Support & Methodist Mission Centres

Planz played a key role in facilitating the redevelopment of two crucial social support agencies in central Christchurch, both of which sustained significant damage during the earthquakes.

These facilities are vital to the community, providing a wide range of essential services. The Methodist Mission offices were particularly notable, being part of the broader re-establishment of the historic Durham Street Methodist Parish Church, the oldest parish in Christchurch.

Both projects required careful, sensitive design solutions to ensure the new developments integrated seamlessly with the surrounding residential and commercial environments. Planz ensured that these sites not only met modern functional requirements but also honoured their historical and social significance, thereby supporting their continued and expanded role within the community.
