Our work

Social Housing

Planz has extensive experience in completing a wide range of social housing projects for clients such as Kāinga Ora Homes and Communities, Ōtautahi Community Housing Trust, and various church organisations.

These projects range from single replacement dwellings to large complexes with up to 90 units. We understand the social and economic drivers behind social housing and are skilled in addressing the unique site layout and management challenges involved in providing safe and secure housing for the community’s most vulnerable members.

Planz is well-versed in the District Plan rules specific to social housing and excels at negotiating positive urban design outcomes that satisfy both clients and councils, ensuring that these developments meet the needs of residents while integrating seamlessly into the urban fabric.
