Auckland Plan Review

Planz provided essential planning and regulatory support to Auckland City Council during the development of the Auckland Unitary Plan.

This was a significant project aimed at consolidating seven territorial plans into a single cohesive regulatory framework. The team at Planz played a key role in assisting the Council’s Business Policy Team, conducting numerous workshops with Council members and large-scale retail and commercial stakeholders. These efforts were instrumental in refining the management of business land within Auckland and narrowing the scope of debate.

Throughout this process, Planz helped to shape the policy provisions for the district plan and codify rules across various zones, including Heavy Industrial and Commercial Centres.
