Wanaka Sticky Forest

Planz prepared the submission and evidence for the Queenstown Lakes District Plan hearings on behalf of the owner of a large block of rural land in Wanaka, known as Sticky Forest.

This block, valued for its landscape, forestry, and mountain biking tracks, was provided to the client as compensation under the South Island Landless Natives Act. The submission sought a sustainable solution for the block’s future use, combining residential development for economic return with the retention of recreational and landscape values for the wider community.
