Marissa Kelderman joined Planz Consultants in January 2023, bringing with her a Master of Planning from Otago University and a Graduate Diploma in Environmental Management. Her academic background includes transport planning, impact assessments, Resource Management Act 1991, environmental law, and planning principles and practices. Her thesis explored how cycle infrastructure impacts children’s ability to transport independently.
Before joining Planz, Marissa completed an internship at Aukaha, where she was involved in cultural assessments, resource consents, and hearing evidence.
At Planz, Marissa has worked on a variety of projects, including resource consent applications for residential and commercial developments, processing consents for Christchurch City Council, and managing heritage building alterations in Dunedin. She has also prepared scoping reports and obtained consents for major events and visitor accommodations.
Marissa loves to stay active and enjoys walking, surfing, biking, and snowboarding in her free time.
