Lisa Steele brings 15 years of experience in resource management planning to Planz Consultants. Her background includes seven years as a resource consent planner at Christchurch City Council. Since joining Planz in 2016 as a Consultant Planner, Lisa has worked on a diverse range of projects, preparing resource consent applications, outline plans, District Plan reviews, and Plan changes.
Lisa is adept at preparing and presenting evidence at Council hearings, showcasing her thorough understanding of planning processes and regulatory requirements. As a full member of the New Zealand Planning Institute (NZPI), she upholds the highest standards of professional practice.
Among her notable projects are the commercial redevelopment of Tennyson Street in the Rolleston town centre and securing consent for a couple to build a house on a rural site they had owned for decades, despite rule changes over the years that had complicated the process. Outside of work, Lisa enjoys spending time with her two small children at neighbourhood playgrounds and the beach during summer. She values staying active with walks, dance classes, and yoga in her (limited) spare time
