Helen Bealey brings a wealth of planning expertise to Planz Consultants, with over 15 years of experience in both New Zealand and the UK. Prior to joining Planz, she spent more than a decade as a Senior Resource Consent Planner at Christchurch City Council, honing her skills in a dynamic urban environment.
Helen’s diverse experience encompasses processing and preparing a wide range of resource consent applications. She has collaborated closely with Kāinga Ora on numerous residential projects, contributing to the development of sustainable communities. Her portfolio also includes working on various residential developments, as well as handling applications for new quarries and extensions. Helen’s capabilities extend to commercial, industrial, and mixed-use projects, where she excels in preparing and presenting planning evidence at Council hearings.
Outside the office, Helen enjoys outdoor activities such as taking her dog to the beach and cross-country running, embracing an active and balanced lifestyle.
