Emma brings over 24 years of planning experience, with a strong focus on the Northland region. She has a proven track record in preparing and processing resource consent applications, obtaining approvals for various subdivision and land use activities, and working collaboratively with a range of professionals, including landscape architects, ecologists, and engineers.

Before joining Planz, Emma worked extensively with the Whangārei, Kaipara, Far North District and Northland Regional Councils, contributing to key projects such as the Town Basin Revitalisation and the Hundertwasser Arts Centre. Her role often involved leading project teams, providing expert planning advice, and presenting evidence at Council hearings and the Environment Court.

Emma’s expertise covers both district and regional consents, particularly for large-scale residential developments, subdivision and infrastructure projects. Known for her strong coordination skills, she has successfully delivered non-notified consent outcomes for several high-profile projects.

Outside of work, Emma enjoys cooking, especially desserts and baking, which she often shares with friends and family. She also regularly exercises with friends with the chat helping to disguise the workout.
