Michael has over 17 years planning experience in New Zealand. Michael has worked on a wide range of consenting and policy development projects involving the development of natural resources. He has experience in consenting a range of types of contaminant discharges including combustion emissions, fumigants, pesticides, stormwater and wastewater, odours, landfill gas, leachate and biosolids. He has experience across a range of sectors including three-waters, waste management, pest management, mining, and aquaculture. He also has experience in farming land use, associated diffuse discharges and nutrient management. He is also a qualified independent commissioner with the Chair endorsement.
