Such facilities are now typically moving away from traditional models of a chapel and hall to multi-purpose community facilities where a range of outreach activities and social services are provided to the community.

Planz Consultants played a key role in securing resource consent for Tupuārangi, a 283-bed student accommodation facility standing 26.56 metres high on Homestead Lane, part of the University of Canterbury campus in Ilam.
