Terri Winder began her career in Urban Planning in 2019 and joined Planz Consultants in April 2023. She holds a Master’s degree in Resource and Environmental Planning from Massey University and has experience in commercial development and real estate, which enhances her current role.
Terri has worked on a variety of projects, including subdivision consents, land use consents, coastal permits, and discharges across New Zealand. Her passion for urban design has led her to pursue a Master’s degree in Urban Design at the University of Auckland.
Known for her collaborative and outcome-focused approach, Terri is proactive and ensures clear communication with clients and councils. She is also studying towards a New Zealand Certificate in Te Reo through Te Wānanga o Aotearoa and is an Intermediate Member of the NZPI.
Among her notable projects are social housing in Nelson, a student accommodation block at the University of Canterbury, and housing supply initiatives in Timaru involving engagement with Arowhenua.
In her personal time, Terri enjoys running, crossfit, and exploring nature with her husband and dogs in Darfield. She is a collector of musical instruments and is committed to lifelong learning, continuing her studies in urban design and Te Reo Māori.
