Matt Bonis brings over 25 years of experience in both local government and consulting in New Zealand and the UK to his role at Planz Consultants. Since joining the company in 2005 and becoming an Associate in 2009, Matt has been a key player in numerous planning and environmental projects.
From 1995-1997 and 2000 to the present, Matt’s responsibilities in New Zealand have included plan preparation, infrastructure-related environmental assessments, and the preparation and presentation of evidence at the Environment Court. His extensive experience ensures that projects meet regulatory requirements and achieve sustainable outcomes.
Specialising in retail, commercial, and policy assessments of environmental effects, Matt’s expertise is critical in navigating the complex planning landscape. His ability to deliver thorough and precise assessments has been instrumental in the successful execution of various projects. Outside of work, Matt heads to Akaroa on a regular basis to spend time with his family, or can be found in the hills mountain biking. When he’s not out in nature, you might see him whizzing to and from work on his electric skateboard.
