Resource Consents

Preparation of resource consent applications and accompanying assessments of environmental effects (AEEs) can be a complex process. Planz Consultants provide specialist project scoping and feasibility assessment to give our clients the best chance of a successful outcome. We strongly believe that a well-designed project is more likely to proceed smoothly through the resource consent process. This results in reduced regulatory costs for our clients and achieves the appropriate balance between development and environment.

We have worked on all types of consents, from simple land use consents for housing developments through to complex district and regional consenting associated with large industrial plants.

A key aspect of our service is the ability to co-ordinate all consultant inputs and project manage the planning process. The planning process is very different to the building consent/construction process and specialist knowledge is required to effectively and efficiently manage the consenting phase of a project.

At Planz Consultants we have the staff to assist you with pre-application evaluations, preparation of resource consent applications, assessments of environmental effects, consultation, and expert planning evidence, council hearings and Environment Court processes.

Our resource consent work has been recognised by receiving the New Zealand Planning Institute (NZPI) Rodney Davies Project Award (2010) for the redevelopment of AMI Stadium in Christchurch prior to the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
